EL PASO, TEXAS – (August 1, 2018) – KTDO Telemundo 48 today announced that it will host the Clear the Shelters™ pet adoption campaign. This is the first time that Telemundo 48 will host the popular pet adoption drive in El Paso and Las Cruces. Launching in August 2018 and culminating with Clear the Shelters™ day on Saturday, August 18, the pet adoption drive will include the participation of the Animal Rescue League of El Paso, El Paso Animal Services, The Humane Society of El Paso and The Cat’s Meow Adoption Center in Las Cruces. On August 18, shelters/rescues will offer low cost or waived pet adoption fees to help families adopt a new pet.
From older dogs to kittens to rabbits to birds, Clear the Shelters™ has inspired local communities to take action and open their homes to pets in need. During Clear the Shelters™ 2017, rabbits “Midnight” and “Cocoa” were adopted by two girls while in Massachusetts, goats, pigs and even horses also found new homes. Since 2015, Clear the Shelters™ has resulted in more than 150,000 pet adoptions nationwide.
